Louis grew up in Southwestern Michigan in a small farming community with a mixture of row crop farms, fruit orchards, grape and blueberry operations. He attended Manchester College, graduating in 1990, with a Bachelor Degree in Athletic training. From 1990 to 2014, Louis served initially as athletic trainer to several area schools, before joining DePuy in a medical sales and advisory capacity. During his service in the medical field, Louis learned to deal with government rules and regulations, knowledge that serves him well in his current occupation as an insurance agent with Silveus Insurance Group.
In 2014, he joined Silveus to service the Midwest market. Louis met his wife, Heather Gaerte, a native of Warsaw, while with area schools and they have now been married for eighteen years with two daughters, Page and Lex. The family is active in sports, social and community affairs. Louis’ great-grandfather was a successful fruit farmer in Royalton Township, Michigan, raising apples, peaches, and cherries. He enjoys the friendship of a number of farm families in north central Indiana and southwest Michigan. You will find Louis to have a positive can do attitude and sincere desire to work with clients to address their insurance needs.
