Meet Brian Karkosh

Where is your hometown and did you grow up around farming?

My hometown is Reinbeck, Iowa. I moved there when I was in the fourth grade and I helped on the family farm until I graduated high school. The farm is a fourth generation farm and it’s currently being operated by my older brother. There’s nothing like being on a farm and working with family.

What are your clients asking you about today?

Our clients are asking how they can protect themselves in such an unpredictable market. At Silveus, have more than 20 private insurance products available to help manage the risk of yield, price or revenue loss. I really enjoy sharing product details and helping clients make informed decisions.

What is your approach to customer service?

At Silveus Insurance Group, we look at our customers as if their operations were our own. We put ourselves in their shoes. We do this to promote accountability, and to be the best agent in the area, giving sound advice and great service.

How long have you been working at Silveus Insurance Group and what do you like best about your job?

This will be my fourth year with Silveus Insurance Group. Silveus was recommended to me by a peer. I jumped at the opportunity to work at Silveus to help producers with more individualized analysis and offering information that would help them make educated decisions about their operations.

What are you most excited about?

I’m most excited about the new products and software that Silveus is constantly adding and updating, allowing us to better serve our clients.
